GLOBAL ALLIANCE FOR MANAGEMENT EDUCATION(GAME)

Global Alliance for Management Education(GAME) is a global initiative of Concerned Management Professionals(CMPs). During the recent decades, the business environment, management profession and consequently the management education have all changed dramatically in a way that defies easy plotting of emerging patterns.

Globalization, cross-national strategic alliances and mergers, privatizations, outsourcing, information technology innovations, and the increasing short term contract culture have all influenced management function. The organizations have changed in size and structure. Their management style has to adapt to new realities, as the workforce has become more dispersed and come to live in a state of permanent job insecurity.

Similarly the management education scenario has become equally confusing. A large number of Business Schools have sprung up with little or no industry association. While the industry is crying for skillfully trained work force, but on the other hand large armies of MBAs are seen without fruitful work. This is the paradox of a new paradigm. The young aspirants are confused about the nature of management education, management institutes, the quality of learning etc. "Change" has placed new and greater demands on all stake holders as the business environment continues to develop as rapidly as ever.

The "New Uncertainties" is management's "New Paradigm"

Drucker advocated the most powerful of all the management techniques - applied intelligence and drew the right, commonsense conclusions from what he saw. The Global Alliance for Management Education(GAME) is committed to provide all stake holders new knowledge and applied intelligence to chart out new pathways. The Alliance believes that the management education provides leadership and vision that continue to elevate individuals, organisations, and societies. Learning "business of business" is clearly a worthy and constructive endeavour. Members of the GAME are particularly focused on the needs of the young aspirants and education providers.
